Suitable for KS1, KS2 teacher, and EYFS teachers.  Gymnastics lesson plans also included.

ATHLETICS CPD

Athletics has long been my passion, having competed at a high level I have considered the best way to promote athletics in the curriculum.  Athletics can be delivered at either KS1 or KS2 and this CPD will give you numerous activities to deliver in an athletics unit of work.

FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS CPD

This workshop is a fantastic starting point for all teachers.  We take PE back to basics and focus on the foundations of physical activity.  The fundamental movement skills must be developed before children can successfully take part in any sporting activity.  This workshop looks at how we teach balance, coordination agility along side personal development skills such as creativity, cooperation and confidence. A must for KS1 and early year practitioners.

WHY PE?

A great workshop to raise the profile of PE amongst staffthe workshop aims to highlight the importance of quality PE lessons and encourage teachers to view the lessons as more than just physical. PE is vital at KS1 and KS2, this workshop looks at why the subject benefits from additional funding and why it should be approached as any other lesson.  We consider the social, personal and cognitive benefits to the children as well as health. We will look how PE can benefit other areas of the curriculum to promote whole school development, have a positive impact on health and well being and create cross curriculum links.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISORS CPD

Ideas for playground games and activities to play at lunchtimes - it includes a copy of my games bank. This workshop is also useful for warm up ideas!

Using stories to inspire PE lessons

A workshop on how we can teach PE through story lessons, a great workshop for EYFS / KS1

GAMES CPD

Learn how to deliver a games lesson that, combines skill building, game playing with “appropriate competivity” whilst keeping your class engaged from start to finish.  Link fundamental skills with competitive games, ensuring each child progresses and achieves their personal best in all of your lessons.  We will also consider ways to manage the class whilst moving learning on.

Inclusive PE

Workshops with partial ideas to adapt our PE lessons so they are inclusive and offer challenge and progression for all our learners.

PE & EYFS CPD

Early years is the most important time for our children. If we can inspire, motivate and develop fundamental skills at a young age our children will be capable of great things.  We look at using stories as a focus for PE lessons and themed games to develop skills.

DEVELOPING MOTOR SKILLS AND INTERVENTION GROUPS

Consider how to identify children that need to refine their motor skills and how to put a block of work in place to support them.  Great for LSAs, TAs Teachers and SENCOs.

Moving maths

Make Maths more fun, engage learners by using physical activities whilst teaching number skills.

GET PHYSICAL IN MATHS, ENGLISH AND EVERYTHING ELSE!

How to use physical activity across the curriculum and in other subjects. We consider ways to make a phonics session physical, how science and math’s can benefit from a bit of movement and why this is important.  Packed full of ideas and activities to use in the classroom.

PE Coordinator Support

I have lead PE in primary, infant and junior schools. With experience as a school sports coordinator and YST faculty tutor, I’ve shared my knowledge and experience supporting others in their quest to provide inspirational sports day events and balanced PE curriculums.  I would be delighted to share my experience and support PE coordinators in their desire to be the best subject coordinator they can be.

PE Auditing

To enable the PE lead to effectively coordinate their subject, I'll work 1:1 with them to look at current PE provision, develop action plans supporting support you in preparation for a deep dive. This support can be tailored to your own schools and coordinators needs.
